Why CBD products for both humans and pets are a thing

As humans, and quite potentially, as pet owners, there are some complications we have to deal with during our lives, and sadly, some of these complications are related to diseases, illnesses, and physical and mental problems.

A good example of this is how, during almost all my life, I’ve suffered from what is known as amnesia, a sleeping disorder that makes it really hard for me to fall asleep, and this can affect my day-to-day life in a very harsh way, making me feel tired all the time, and making focusing a tough task to achieve.

There are also people that, regardless of the reason, suffer from pain-inducing conditions that affect them in many ways, even reducing their mobility, affecting their emotional and mental health, as well as causing anxiety and other problems.

Of course, some of these complications can also affect our pets, and as their owners and companions, it is our responsibility to find a way to help them deal with the situation. If a family member of yours or you yourself are suffering from similar problems, you might want to check out a way to cope with the circumstances.

And here’s where CBD enters play as an incredible, potential solution. But what is CBD, and why is it a thing for both humans and animals?

The safety behind CBD

You see, CBD, also known as cannabidiol, is a compound found in the cannabis plant that can achieve great results when it comes to dealing with the previously mentioned problems.

Cannabis, you say?! Well, yes. Believe it or not, cannabis has gained a lot of protagonism worldwide, becoming legal in several countries for both medical and recreational purposes.

Still, we are talking about cannabis here! There’s a big chance that, regardless of the product you consume, you will get what we usually describe as high, a state of cognitive and physical dissonance caused by THC, the most present compound found in the cannabis plant, with CBD being the second most present compound.

You see, it is THC that makes the cannabis plant a trippy plant, but cannabidiol isn’t capable of achieving this. So, that’s the reason why CBD products are actually derived from hemp, a plant that contains really low levels of THC, making it much more dependable.

Why is CBD important for our pets?

Graphic details benefits of CBD products for pets.Besides the fact that cannabidiol products are mostly used for medicinal purposes (and we don’t want to get high while doing daily activities), there’s a much more deep reason for it to be important, and that is related to our pets.

You see, THC is considered a very toxic compound for animals, mostly dogs and cats. They have powerful neurotransmitters that can be heavily affected by the compound, which caused strong and lasting side effects.

That is why cannabidiol-based products are so important since they can provide the same benefits without affecting them the same way cannabis would.

Uses and benefits of CBD products

Now, that being said, what are the actual benefits of using CBD products? Well, there are many reasons, but the main one is reducing inflammation and alleviating pain. Once we reach certain ages in both humans and animals, we become prompt to suffering from certain inflammatory diseases, with arthritis being the most common one.

Arthritis does not only cause a lot of pain, but it also causes heavy inflammation, which leads to more pain, which reduces our mobility, affecting the way we live our lives. In dogs and cats (and even humans), this can cause depressions, which leads to even more problems.

It can also be used to calm down anxiety and panic attacks, reduce stress, and achieve a state of relaxation that can make sleeping much easier, which is the reason why I’ve been using it as a method to fight sleeping disorders.

Intake logic

The most important part of consuming CBD, though, is knowing how to do it. There are many ways to consume it based on different products, and you can know more detailed information here.

However, the most common advice is to start with small, recommended dosages, regardless if you are the one consuming it or if it’s a pet or cat. Since consuming CBD depends entirely on the individual, you will have to start small, monitor the benefits, and act accordingly.

If you see side effects, the best way to act is to reduce the dosage. Although side effects are rare, they can include diarrhea or dry mouth. If you reduce the intake, they will quickly disappear. As long as you consume the right amount, you’ll enjoy the benefits with low risks.

And this is also why it has become so famous: in comparison to traditional forms of medicines and drugs, side effects related to CBD are quite mild in comparison.
