Fuzzy’s Pet Care Fundamentals course eliminates confusion of pet parenting

Posted April 30, 2021

Fuzzy’s Pet Care Fundamentals course takes a complex medical task — like oral health and breaks it into easy-to-understand concepts.

Bringing home a new puppy or adopting a dog can be challenging and, at times, overwhelming. But the experts at Fuzzy — The Pet Parent Company want to make becoming a pet parent easier with Fuzzy’s new Pet Care Fundamentals subscription box, which takes the guesswork out of caring for your dog or cat’s health.

The boxes are available for $299 annually or $39.99 monthly and are ideal for first-time pet parents or someone who has just adopted a pet.

While other subscription boxes provide food or toys, the experts at Fuzzy created the Pet Care Fundamentals box to educate and empower pet parents to care for their pet’s health proactively. The vet-curated boxes are designed specifically for cats or dogs and cover everything from managing nail care and digestive health. The subscription also provides pet parents with access to Fuzzy’s 24/7 live vet chat.

Eliminating the guesswork

The Fuzzy Pet Care Fundamentals boxes are personalized primarily by pet size and note special considerations for each pet. The boxes will help pet parents set goals based on wellness, disease processes, and lifestyle enhancements.

While Fuzzy designs boxes for both cats or dogs, the boxes can be further specified by dog size.

Fuzzy selects each item for safety, efficacy, and ease of use. Overall, the goal of each box is to take a complex medical task — like oral health — and break it down into easy-to-understand concepts.

The most important aspect of the box is the 24/7 support that Fuzzy’s digital health team provides in lockstep with each product. This allows the pet parent to take a guided journey through their pet’s health and wellness, culminating in greater awareness of their pet’s overall wellbeing.

For example, no other service gives a pet parent the supplies paired with live video coaching on trimming a pet’s nails from a veterinarian. There is a before and after critique in this interaction and a live discussion on tips and tricks based on their pet’s actions during the session. There is no other boxed service for pets that couples education and support on a 1 to 1 level for every pet in the household. This support features certified veterinary technicians and veterinarians to provide precise and accurate information for each pet’s home.

What’s in the Pet Care Fundamentals Course

The first box, for example, focuses on environmental enrichment and is designed to keep pets mentally and physically engaged so they stay out of trouble. Engaged pets are less likely to destroy items at home and have fewer emergencies. Fuzzy provides activities and recommendations via written and video content to stimulate a pet and provide healthy boundaries in the house to keep them safe.

The dog box includes healthy and durable chew toys, food stimulation and puzzle products, vet-approved healthy treats, and the first three months of topical flea and tick treatments.

The second box focuses on skin and coat care, while the third box focuses on dental care. The skin and coat care box provides a vet-recommended skin and coat Omega3 supplement, specific grooming brushes, medicated shampoo, and 24/7 Live Vet Chat access. It also includes instructional resources and activities on grooming, brushing, and bathing a pet and guidance on specific issues to look for when evaluating their skin and coat health.

The dental box helps pet parents develop a home brushing routine with a pet-specific toothbrush and toothpaste, fresh pet breath spray, and 24/7 Live Vet Chat access. Dental care is key to keeping your dog healthy.

The stress and anxiety prevention and management box will provide training activities and products to help manage a pet’s anxiety or stress-related issues. The boxes include anxiety relief and calming treats, anti-stress chew toys, educational desensitization toys for mental stimulation, and 24/7 Live Vet Chat access.

The paw and nail care box provides instruction and care activities to develop regular practices to keep pet paws healthy and nails trimmed to healthy lengths, helping pet parents avoid costly visits to the groomer or vet for routine care. The box includes engaging lick mats, nail clippers, quick coagulant gel, and vet-approved treats.

The digestive health box provides a comprehensive diet and probiotics to help stimulate proper digestion. The box includes pet health probiotics, digestive health chews, and a slow feeder.

The Fuzzy experts help eliminate the uncertainties, confusion, and frustrations of being a pet parent. For many parents, taking on the responsibility of a new creature is overwhelming. Often, these pet parents have many questions about their pet’s care but lack the proper resources for immediate information.

Fuzzy provides the answers pet parents need. According to Fuzzy’s experts, the most common questions from first-time pet parents include:

  • What do I feed my pet?
  • How do I keep my pet as healthy as possible?
  • How do I know when to go to a vet?
  • Is this normal?
  • Are there diseases my family can catch from my pet?

With 24/7 access to veterinarians, Fuzzy also helps pet parents keep their pets healthy. The most common questions for the vets include:

  • How do I keep my pet’s mouth healthy?
  • How do I know when it’s too much itching?
  • And what do I do about it?
  • I want my baby to live as long as possible — how do I make that happen?
  • When something goes wrong, what are the proper support steps to keep my pet healthy?
  • How do I do all of this without spending too much money?
