Pets us our little bundles of joy. Nobody is happier to see you than your pet. If you have a dog. If you have a cat, well, she doesn’t care, but you love it. Today we’re bringing you a list of seven movies where dogs play cupid help couples or families form strong bonds.

How pets help us meet and get to know each other better

Contents

Before jumping into the world of movies, we have to mention a wise saying that goes like this: “You can learn a lot about a person from watching how she/he treats animals.” That’s why many members on a tenderbang dating site and similar sites put they are animal lovers in their description.

Love for animals attracts other people and gives a lot of conversation topics. Not only that, but you’ll have so many amazing dates thanks to your pet, especially if it’s a dog. If a person you started chatting with or dating loves dogs or has a dog, you’ll spend a lot of time together. If life is anything like the movies we’ll list (and it is), you’ll learn a lot about each other and fall in love.

Top movies where dogs play cupid

Get ready to “awww” a lot because charming and romantic movies are waiting on our list.

Marley & Me

When a movie has Owen Wilson, Jenifer Aniston, and a cute dog as 3 leading roles, you know you’re in for some fun. The thing in Marley & Me is, their dog looks cute, but it’s a crazy hyperactive beast that eats everything in his way. John and Jennie get Marley to keep them company in their new house. If only they knew how many times Marley will test their relationship. But, in the end, he brings the whole family closer together.

A Dog’s Purpose

Dog’s purpose is to be loved and to love his human friends. In the movie “A Dog’s Purpose,” you can become a dog who dies more than once but reincarnates every time (with significant time delays). The dog connects two couples through his/her lives, but connecting one took a couple of lifetimes.

Turner & Hooch

What happens when a very tidy cop gets a huge dog whose saliva flies everywhere? You get a great movie. Especially if Tom Hanks plays that cop. Thanks to Hooch, Scott Turner meets Emily. He doesn’t care a lot about her initially, but his new friend falls in love with Emily’s dog. In the end, Scott and Emilly become a couple, and their family gets many new, tiny paws.

101 Dalmatians

One of the most famous movies about pets and love is 101 Dalmatians. It’s a classic story. Two dogs meet (Pongo and Perdita). They fall in love. Their owners meet. They fall in love. Dogs start a family. A huge family. Crazy lady tries to turn puppies into clothes, but dogs and owners fight together. Simple, yet adorable and very inspiring.

A Dog’s Journey

A Dog’s Journey is similar to A Dog’s Purpose. One dog (with more than one life) affects the lives of every human he gets in touch with. CJ and Ethan are the main human characters in this movie from 2019. CJ adopts Bailey, who then falls in love with her boyfriend’s dog. Troubles take them apart, but Bailey always finds his way to protect CJ even though he comes back as a different breed every time he reincarnates.

Beethoven

Beethoven is arguably the most famous movie about pets. It’s not based on the love story of a couple, but the love of a whole family towards one big, loud, messy pet. Beethoven tests relationships in the family, but George and Alice succeed in keeping everything in order, and saving Beethoven strengthens their relationship.

Garfield (film)

How to impress your high school crush, who’s now a vet? Get a puppy from her. Of course, Garfield doesn’t like his new competition, so he leaves him outside overnight. Rescuing Odie turns into a real adventure, but at least Liz and Jon fall madly in love because of Garfield and Odie.
